Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield has two campuses in Bakersfield to meet the needs of the growing community. The Southwest Campus was built in 1992 and is the only acute care hospital in Bakersfield west of the 99 Freeway. The Southwest Campus offers a full range of services including emergency services, obstetrics and women’s care and medical/surgical care. In 2009, the Orthopedic and Hand Center opened offering comprehensive orthopedic services to the community.
