St. John's Regional Medical Center was established in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy at the request of Reverend John Laubacher and community leaders. The hospital's centers of distinction include St. John’s Regional Spine Center, St. John’s Maternity and Birth Center, St. John’s Cancer Center of Ventura County, and St. John’s Center for Surgical Weight Loss. In addition, the hospital is known for its cardiovascular services, rehabilitation services, and palliative care program.
