Woodland Healthcare's history began in 1907, when a pioneering registered nurse and her two sisters rented a two-story home to serve the medical needs of the community. The Woodland Sanitarium had only nine beds with the second floor of the home converted into a surgical suite. Today, the hospital is known for its cardiovascular services, occupational health services and mental health services.
