What Guides Us
Our Charter
We aspire to be a collaborative healing ministry that alleviates unnecessary suffering by promoting self-sustaining communities, providing education, and supporting health care services to people in need.
Our Goals
Together, we are seeking to:
- Create a living legacy by providing the tools and education necessary for communities in developing countries to independently care for their ongoing health care needs.
- Support our Sponsoring Congregations' existing international ministries, or help develop minsitries where none currently exist but where there is a need.
- Provide our employees, physicians and donors with the opportunity to participate in the mission of serving others in need.
Our Guiding Prinicples
The following principles guide all our efforts:
- Seek first to support and enhance existing ministires, avoiding unnecessary duplication of efforts.
- Be attentive to the needs of those currently providing care in developing countries. Do not impose a predetermined concept of what is needed.
- Develop a new presence only where needed and in collaboration with others.
- Provide the tools and skills that enable those in need to care for themselves, giving them the dignity and respect deserved by all human persons.
