James M. Givens, CFA
Retired Investment Counselor
Retired from a career in investment counseling that spanned over 35 years, Jim Givens was most recently Chairman Emeritus for Palladian Capital Management, from 1998 to 2000, where he served in an oversight capacity. Prior to his role with Palladian, Jim served for nearly twelve years as Executive Vice President for Cramblit & Carney and was responsible for managing client portfolios, generating new investment ideas, performing company and industry analysis, and executing stock transactions, with assets under management of approximately $1.0 billion. His career has also included service as Managing Director for CMB Investment Counselors, Executive Vice President at Transamerica Investment Management, and Chief Investment Officer for Equities at Farmers Insurance Group.
Additionally, Jim has put his professional expertise to use as a member of the Advisory Council for Robert Osher Investment Management, as a member of the Catholic Healthcare West Finance and Investment Committees, as Chairman of the Board for Glendale Memorial Hospital & Health Center, and as a Board Member for the Glendale Memorial Health Foundation. He has also served as an Advisory Board Member and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, as well as Chairman of the Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scout Golf Tournament.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (a three-year credential program), Jim holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Claremont McKenna College.
