Kenneth Mills, M.D., is currently President of the Medical Staff at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco, California and is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine. Dr. Mills has a long-standing affiliation with St. Mary's, serving on the hospital's Board of Directors since 1992. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, a graduate degree in Microbiology from Wayne State University and a Doctorate in Medicine from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Mills became an intern at St. Mary's Medical Center in 1973. He also completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Mary's in 1976 and was appointed Chief Medical Resident.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Mills has held several posts and has served on many committees. At the University of California, San Francisco, he served as the Clinical Instructor in Medicine and as the Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. At St. Mary's Medical Center, he has been the Program Medical Consultant for the HIV Services Program since 1991, chaired the hospital's Utilization Review Committee, served on the Monitoring Committee for the San Francisco Peer Review Organization, and later chaired the Monitoring Committee for California Medical Review, Inc.

In 1989, Dr. Mills organized a national AIDS update conference for Bay Area Physicians for Human Rights in San Francisco. In addition to his role as Medical Director for HIV Services at St. Mary's Medical Center, he has delivered several lectures to medical professionals on the care and treatment of patients with HIV and AIDS. An investigator for several HIV related clinical trials, he has been an active member of Community Consortium, an organization of HIV health care providers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area involved in community clinical trials.
