Patricia Rayburn, OSF

Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity

Patricia Rayburn, OSF, is currently the First Councilor of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity in Redwood City, California. She previously served on the leadership team for her community from l985-1993 and 1997-2001, and has been a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity for 35 years.

Throughout her career Sr. Patricia developed expertise in Pastoral Ministry and Worship. She has served as Pastoral Associate for Worship and Community Life at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bend, Oregon; Director of Mount Alverno Conference Center in Redwood City, California; Associate Director and Director of Worship at St. Joseph?s College Seminary in Mountain View, California; and Director of Worship at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Sacramento, California.  Sr. Patricia?s career has also included diverse roles ranging from High School Teacher at Alverno Heights Academy in Sierra Madre, California, to Secretary for the Director of the Management Inspection Staff at the Department of State Agency for International Development in Washington, D.C.

Here life of service has also included work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Heaven Can Wait Breast Cancer Survivors Project in Bend, Oregon.  Additionally, she has served on the Board of Directors, of Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria, California; the Mount Alverno Conference Center in Redwood City, California; and the Grace Day Home in Sacramento, California.

Sr. Patricia holds a Master of Arts in Liturgical Studies from St. John?s University in Collegeville, Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Oregon State University.
