Sr. Maureen McInerney, OP, is Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, California. Prior to her leadership role with the congregation, Sr. Maureen served as Vice President of Sponsorship and Mission at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. At Saint Mary’s she co-chaired the hospital’s 100th anniversary celebration, which included a year-long schedule of events and activities. She also designed and implemented a new mission renewal program for the employees of Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Health Plans in an effort to integrate the 100-year legacy of the mission into the daily work of each employee.
Sr. Maureen has also served as Assistant Director and Co-Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Sacramento, and as Director of Vocations and Assistant Director of Development for the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. She has served as Hospital Chaplain for Churchill Regional Medical Center in Fallon, Nevada, and South Lyon Community Hospital in Yerington, Nevada. And she has served in the Department Health Pastoral Care for Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, and as an Admitting Clerk and Pastoral Care Coordinator for St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, California. Sr. Maureen received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dominican College of San Rafael, California, and a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of San Francisco, California.
