Maureen McInerney, OP

Prioress General, Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, California

Sr. Maureen McInerney, OP is Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. With the Leadership Council, she is responsible for guiding the congregation's faithful expression of its mission, meeting the congregation's corporate responsibilities, encouraging and supporting sponsored institutions, ministering to the health and welfare needs of the sisters, and long range, strategic planning. Sr. Maureen has extensive board and committee experience. In addition to her service to CHW, she is on the Board of Trustees of Dominican University of California in San Rafael, and the Board of O'Connor-Woods Housing in Stockton.
 
Prior to her election to a full-time role in congregational leadership, Sister Maureen served for seven years at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada as Vice-President of Sponsorship and Mission. Her background in pastoral care in health care spans more than 20 years in Stockton, California and in northern Nevada.  Sr. Maureen also has experience in elementary school education, institutional fund raising, and vocation ministry.
 
She received her Bachelor's of Arts degree from Dominican College in San Rafael, a Lifetime Teaching Credential from the State of California, and a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of San Francisco.
