The hospital chaplains collaborate with local community clergy.

We promote certification, continuing education and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
Certified chaplains and other spiritual care team members maintain their certification and/or their continuing education as determined by their professional and certifying bodies. Spiritual Care Services promotes the training of chaplains by offering Clinical Pastoral Education programs and/or on-site field placements for interns where this is feasible. Where Spiritual Care Services include CPE, it is maintained in accordance with accreditation standards. Spiritual Care Services departments offer in-services, educational programs, and volunteer training within the facility and in local community settings.

We facilitate religious celebrations in a manner sensitive to the cultural and faith diversity of our patients in CHW facilities.
The Sacraments of the Catholic Church and rituals of other faith traditions are made available whenever possible. Spiritual Care Services coordinates prayer, rituals and services with sensitivity to individuals' faith traditions and/or personal spirituality.  Adequate space for worship and reflection is made available in a convenient, accessible location, and is furnished in a manner sensitive and adaptable to interfaith worship services.
